Over 10 months without a post? Just what happened to Sir Slush? Slain while trying to break ranks from his own lowly Order?

School. That's what happened. Sir Slush, in addition to being an aspiring novelist, is a grad student. He has a hard time holding a quill in one hand and a lance in the other. Sometimes (read: 9 months a year) he's a student, other times (read: 3 months a year) a writer. Now is one of those other times.

Bum deal, you think? Why follow a blog that will be dead 3/4 of the year? The same reason we plant flowers that will be dead 3/4 of the year--they're magic when around! (Except to those who have allergies.)
